DESCOVY FOR PrEP is indicated for at-risk adults and adolescents (≥35 kg) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV-1 infection, excluding individuals at risk from receptive vaginal sex. HIV-1–negative status must be confirmed immediately prior to initiation. It is a fixed dose of antiretroviral drugs, emtricitabine (FTC) and tenofovir alafenamide (TAF).1

It is important to not miss any doses of DESCOVY FOR PrEP. Individuals who miss doses are more likely to acquire HIV-1 than those who do not miss doses.

Adverse reactions (all grades) reported in ≥2% of participants were diarrhea, nausea, headache, fatigue, and abdominal pain or discomfort, and were similar between DESCOVY and TRUVADA through 96 weeks in the DISCOVER Trial.1,2 Learn more about the adverse reactions of DESCOVY.
